quarantine portraits / shelter in technicolor

these photographs were all taken from at least 10-feet away, near the subject’s front porch, or in their backyard. every image includes someone i have a personal relationship with; these are not portraits of a city confronting crisis, but of my community’s initial acceptance of social distancing within a culture that embraces ecstatic gathering. all photos taken with a mamiya 645.

developing color negatives would not have been possible without the work of Marc Bruckel and Devin Saurus
